Executive Summary
Effective from January 1, 2015, the prices of kerosene and diesel in Kuwait rose more than threefold from 55 fils a liter to 170 fils . According to media reports, the hike has triggered a price surge across many essential products, including bread and construction materials. Early media reports from the first week of January 2015 indicated that many construction companies in Kuwait increased the prices of their materials citing increase in diesel prices . For example, the price per cubic meter of concrete has in some cases gone up by KD 3.5-4.5.Table of Content
