Executive Summary

Industries Qatar, founded in 2003 as a Qatari joint stock company is headquartered in Doha, Qatar. IQ operates via its four portfolio companies in a combination of joint ventures and wholly owned subsidiaries, catering to three distinct segments namely – petrochemicals, fertilizers, and steel. In May 2014, IQ earned inclusion into the MSCI Qatar Index, with the index weight of 9.37%. As the world hits normality, IQ announced a staggering 722% increase in total net profit vis-à-vis six-month period ended 30th June 2020. Although, the uncertainty with respect to the resurgence of COVID-19 and its influence on global trade and demand, looms large on the outlook for IQ.
